Topshop Nails in Eclipse

Topshop Nails in Eclipse £6

Last week, I picked up my very first ever nail polish from Topshop in the colour Eclipse. This immediately caught my eyes as I thought it would be cool to have another glitter polish that changed colours in different lights. My first one being, Barry M's Silvery Lilac 324. Although, I do love it and think the colour is really pretty, I find that it has more of a brass green tone rather than the dark turquoise green that shows when you first grab the bottle. I found out about this as soon as I applied that first coat and noticed the prominent amount of gold shimmer in the polish. Not to worry though! Hints of that nice dark turquoise undertone still appears in brighter light especially when you move your fingers around. Application wise, it was very smooth and I'm not sure whether it was the brush or the formula but I never went over my nails whilst using this polish which is really quite impressive. Oh, and plus points for drying up pretty quickly too! Definitely a polish worth all those pennies. x

Footwear | Brown Chelsea Boots

Tesco boots £15

I went grocery shopping late last night and stumbled upon these brown Chelsea boots. Wasn't too sure whether to get it at first but I'm really glad I did. I wore them out today to meet up with a friend and when I went to lecture. They're very comfortable and easy to wear plus they go with everything. Absolutely perfect for lazy days, which for me, is pretty much everyday! I'm probably going to invest on a couple more ankle boots as I plan to get rid of most of my shoes seeing as I don't really wear any of them except the odd one or two. x

Little Introduction

Hello, my name is Moira and this is my blog! To start things off, I'd like to tell you more about myself and why I decided to create Litratista. I am a 19 year old girl who was born and raised in the Philippines but is now residing in the United Kingdom. I am in my second year of study at university doing a degree in Fine Art: Photography. I started blogging in 2007, but never really cared for it that much. However, today, I feel as though I can give it another shot and see where it gets me. I'd like for this to be an online-journal where I can just throw things in, talk about whatever and just express myself — as an individual, an artist, photographer, beauty enthusiast, traveler and whatever else fits the bill. Although I must say, I am not a very good writer so advance apologies for my very poor vocabulary and writing skills.

Anyway, you might be wondering what Litratista stands for, it is the Filipino translation of the word 'photographer' which I'd like to believe I can be and am, sometimes. So yea, I hope you guys enjoy my blog and I'll talk to you guys soon! x
