What I Wore | At Talland Bay

(crop top and dungarees - Primark, sunglasses - carboot sale)

This will be my last outfit post that isn't autumn or winter appropriate, I promise! Last summer, I visited my family down in Cornwall and decided to wear this to one of our trips. We went to a beach with both sand and rock formations so I opted for my bright orange snorkeling shoes. Aha! I then wore my dungarees with a boyfriend crop top underneath. Pretty simple but something comfortable as I had to climb rocks and whatnot!

Starting next week, I will be featuring my more recent autumn and winter looks. Sorry about the delay! But as I said, I like to do things in chronological order. Also, Belated Happy Thanksgiving to all those living in the U.S! I hope you all had a good one. And to everyone else, have a great weekend! x

Haul | Monki Shirts

Monki Katy tee £5 (sale) | Emma tee £12 | Samira top £12 | Terry leggings £15

Here are some stuff I got from Monki sometime ago. Not a lot, but I basically just bought some shirts and a pair of leggings. There's two slogan tees, one in white and one in grey. I also got a black&white striped shirt and a kind of matching pair of leggings. Really, it's just black leggings with white panels on the side, which you can see featured on this outfit post

This was my first purchase from Monki and I really liked everything. I'm so pleased with what I bought and there's so much more on the site that I want! I wish they had more shops around the UK though so I wouldn't have to travel all the way to London. But for now, I guess I'll just have to settle for online shopping! x

What I Wore | Plain Floral

(floral headband - Primark, dress and flats - New Look, bag - Ebay, sunglasses - carboot sale)

Here's another look I wore sometime ago in London. I decided to dress really casually because I was walking a lot and wanted to be more comfortable. I wore this simple grey dress and paired it with my striped slip-ons. To make it more exciting, I also had my floral headband on and wore my aviator sunglasses. It was still sunny then, aha! But yea, a couple more outfit posts until I'm all caught up! x

Footwear | Skulled

Everything5pounds.com flats £5

The second pair from my Everything5Pounds purchase was this black flats with a gold skull on it. I really love this pair and have yet to wear it. But isn't it just so rad? I just love how simple yet awesome it is! Aha! And to think, this only cost me 500 pennies. That's insane! So so happy with it! You should go check out the site if you're on a hunt for something really cool but can't afford to spend a lot. It's the perfect site for buying Christmas presents too if you're on a really tight budget this year! x

What I Wore | Swallow Dress

(floral headband and dress - Primark, flats - New Look, bag - Ebay)

Here's a very simple and casual outfit I wore a while back. I have on my Primark swallow dress, New Look flats and this floral headband, also from Primark. Yes I know it's almost Winter now, but I have a thing about posting stuff in chronological order. Don't judge me, aha! Hopefully, I catch up soon so I can show more of my recent looks. x

Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm in Mint

Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm in Mint £2.69

With the weather slowly getting colder and colder, it's important to moisturise and keep our skin and lips hydrated. A good brand to use, as I've heard, is Carmex. The only product I've ever tried from them is this one, which is in liquid form kept in a squeeze tube. I got the one in mint, and believe me when I say that it is very minty! It smells good but I'm afraid the taste isn't all that amazing. It has that very artificial and chemical taste to it which I really don't like. However, it does really soothe your dried and chapped lips. It is also very moisturising except you're left with very greasy lips so I really wouldn't suggest using this under other lip products (i.e. lipsticks). I mean, you can get away with it if you prep your lips a few minutes beforehand but I wouldn't apply lipstick straight away after I've used this.

I think it's a fairly good lip balm but I'm not a big fan of the squeeze tube so I'm probably going to try out the ones in lipstick form next time. Oh and the other thing that I find with this is that, whenever you stop using it, you end up with really chapped lips again. So you'll have to use it constantly, which is kind of annoying but what can you do, eh? Have you tried any Carmex products, what's your thoughts? x

Haul | Acid Wash

Boohoo dress £15 | leggings £12

I like anything distressed and a bit more old or worn looking so these goodies from Boohoo were just perfect. First, a t-shirt dress which I featured in this outfit post and then a pair of high waisted leggings which are slightly big but I can work with it.  I like Boohoo in terms of finding items that look great but for a lot less and these two are a good example. Have you shopped at Boohoo, how was your experience? x

NSpa Ultimate Cleansing Tonic

 NSpa Ultimate Cleansing Tonic £5

Taking makeup off can be a really tedious task for me so I was on the hunt for a makeup remover/cleanser that was easy to use. I normally just use makeup wipes but I know they're not the best for the skin and they don't really take all of your makeup off. And so comes in this product, it's the Nirvana Spa Ultimate Cleansing Tonic which I bought from at Asda for £5. I thought I'd give it a go as it claims to be a 'one-step cleanser that removes daily impurities and makeup, even waterproof mascara'. So I was curious to know if it would work on my skin.

The first thing you'll notice about this product is that it's one of those oil and water solutions that you shake and mix together. I thought this was good as it would help take eye makeup off much easier and it does. What I do is apply it onto a cotton pad and then dab it onto my lids, move it around for a few seconds and most of the makeup comes off. I repeat this process until my eye makeup completely dissolves. Afterwards, I move onto my face and I normally do the same thing, I just pour some product onto a cotton pad and use that to take my face makeup off. Although it works, I find that I have to use a good amount of product and several cotton pads to completely get rid of everything.

This doesn't really sting my eyes or irritate my skin and I have normal/combination skin. However when you finish, you're left with a thin film of oil around the face. I don't particularly mind this as it absorbs onto the skin after a few minutes, leaving the surface really smooth. However, it can be an issue if you have more of an oily skin or don't like that grease feeling. Normally after this, I would just cleanse again with face wash and water or if I'm feeling lazy, I'd go straight to using a toner to get rid of any dirt or makeup that's left. Another thing to note is that, it has a slight chemical scent to it. This doesn't bother me now as I've gotten used to it, but it's something to consider if you're planning on trying it out.

Overall, it's a pretty good product that doesn't cost a lot. It was my first time trying out something like this and it's made me want to try more. I would like to try out more micellar waters like the one from L'oreal and of course, Bioderma. x

Footwear | Black and Gold Flats

Everything5pounds.com flats £5

I know this shoes aren't very appropriate for this season but heck, I thought I'd still post it. It's these flats that I got from Everything5Pounds. And yes, everything is literally £5! It's a great place to shop if you're on a really really tight budget and you do find the occasional gem from there. Here's the first out of the three pairs of footwear I got and it's just a simple black pointed flats with light gold detailing on the toes. Again, it's not the most appropriate for the weather we're having right now but it's perfect for casual days, perhaps when it's warmer. But who knows, you can never go wrong with wearing tights and a pair of flats... or could you? Oh well! x

What I Wore | Black and White Print

(top and jacket - Primark, leggings - Monki, flats - & Other Stories)

This is an outfit I wore a while back and clearly, I wasn't feeling very inspired seeing as it's the usual monochrome look. I wore this high waisted leggings with white panels on the side along with this Primark zebra print crop top, which I think makes the look more interesting. I also wore my monochrome varsity jacket that I got on sale from Primark. And on my feet, I decided to put on my pointed flats from & Other Stories. I do love these shoes but I really wouldn't suggest running in them. Aha! This is kind of my go-to look whenever I'm in a rush or not feeling very inspired. I'd normally put on some leggings and pick a top or shirt that goes with it, chuck on a jacket and I'm good to go. Not very exciting but it's my fail safe look that I sport pretty much 80% of the time. What's your go-to look? x

Haul | & Other Stories

& Other Stories eyelash curler £10 | slip ons £55

You probably already know about & Other Stories, it's a new brand from the same people that created H&M. There was a massive hype about the brand especially when it first came to the UK and when it launched its website. I personally can't get enough of it! I love the clothes, especially the shoes. More importantly, they have an awesome cosmetics line. I mean, what's not to love?

Here's my first purchase from them. And c'mon, just look at that packaging, it's so beautiful! Aha! Anyway, I got these leather pointed flats which I couldn't get out of my head for days, so I knew I had to get it. Then, an eyelash curler as I've never owned one. And so far so good! I love the shoes and have worn it numerous times and the curler is pretty amazing too. It doesn't tug or pull my eyelashes and it really does work, worth the £10 I paid for it!

They're definitely not as cheap as H&M but I honestly don't think they're overly expensive either. I think you pay for what you get. I mean, if you really want a good pair of shoes that will last, then you have to invest on it like I did on this pair. I find that with & Other Stories, you really get better quality and that's why you pay more. Again, they're not the cheapest but they're definitely not the most expensive. I would love to try more of their make up and skincare! And maybe a few more pairs of shoes... Have you purchased anything from & Other Stories, what's your thoughts? x

Footwear | Black Chelsea Boots

Tesco boots £15

These are the black version of these boots, which I was on a hunt for and got as soon as I spotted them in Tesco. I have been into boots ever since the beginning of this year and have had my eye on so many, it's crazy! I just can't get enough of them, I think they're the perfect all year round shoe! So allow me to get this phase out of my system. Aha!

Anyway, this were only £15 which is amazing as they're the perfect Chelsea boots except without that tag on the back. But who cares? For £15, I sure am not complaining! I have worn these and its brown counterpart so many times, they've been pretty much my go-to boots. They're just so simple and they go with everything. I mean, literally everything! I just love them. Can't you tell, I own two! But seriously, if you don't have a pair of these, please get one. I promise you won't regret it. They're the best type of autumn/winter boots and they're literally everywhere at the minute! x
